Audiology is a constantly evolving profession and is far removed from the days of the traditional clinical work setting. Public health, private clinics and product manufacturers are among the many workplace options possible for today’s audiologists. Even within those settings, further specialization is possible and often required as the demands of the role advance with technological advancements. This session presents audiologists representing those three large divisions of the profession, with each clinician sharing insight into the unique challenges of their own occupational environments. The presentation provides an overview of shared skill sets and look to define what determines a successful audiologist for each respective work environment of the presenters.
