The Communication Health Assistant (CHA) Advisory Group provides advice and insight to Speech-Language & Audiology Canada (SAC) on issues that matter to CHAs across the country. The group ensures that the voices, experiences, and professional needs of CHAs are reflected in SAC’s advocacy, resources, and engagement strategies. The CHA Advisory Group will help shape national initiatives—including supervision and scope of practice guidelines, professional development opportunities, and efforts to enhance recognition of CHAs’ vital contributions to communication health and offers members a meaningful way to influence the future of their profession, build leadership skills, and connect with colleagues who share a commitment to excellence in communication health services across Canada.
