Within an evidence-based practice framework, clinical practice should integrate the best available evidence and clinical expertise as it applies to the individual. However, speech-language pathologists and audiologists are often frustrated with the mismatch between published data and their specific clinical context. The goal of this Lunch & Learn is to provide concrete steps for developing a clinical research study, from formulating a specific research question to data collection and analysis, to applying the results. We also discuss strategies that contribute to the success of these projects.
