“Originally from the National-Capital region, I’ve practised and lived across Canada, enriching my professional career with a variety of experiences. The path I’ve taken in speech-language pathology has always been guided by an underlying curiosity: why is language acquisition so variable?

After earning my Master’s degree, my questioning gradually changed from ‘Why?’ to ‘How?’ How can we transfer our academic knowledge into practice? How can we enable rural or isolated populations to access services?

This shift reflects my commitment to actively seek innovative solutions. My experiences as a speech-language pathology assistant and then as a speech and language pathologist, coupled with my three years abroad as an expatriate, have made me deeply aware of the challenges of communication and the influence our biases have when we communicate. While working with many children and teenagers in my practice, I have a passion for executive functions and their effects on language development. My aim is to make an innovative contribution to the development and enhancement of our professions.”
