Marie-France Perrier is a postdoctoral research fellow at the CHU Sainte‐Justine Research Centre and Université de Montréal. She holds a PhD in Rehabilitation Sciences from the University of Ottawa. She has over a decade of experience as a speech-language pathologist (S-LP) in clinical, research, and academic settings. Her work focuses on pediatric rehabilitation, acquired brain injuries, cognitive-communication disorders, and mindfulness-based interventions.

She has published in peer-reviewed journals, presented at national and international conferences, and secured competitive research grants. She has also taken on leadership roles in academic governance, including serving as President of the Rehabilitation Sciences Doctorate Student Association. Additionally, she has taught at the master’s level in speech-language pathology/audiology and mentored students in clinical and academic settings.

A proud Franco-Ontarian, Marie-France is committed to promoting accessible SLP services for diverse populations across Canada. She is dedicated to advancing evidence-based practice, strengthening public awareness and advocacy for speech-language pathology, and fostering inter- and transdisciplinary collaboration.

Marie-France hopes to contribute her perspective as a clinician-researcher to support SAC’s initiatives in professional development, education, and policy, helping to shape the profession’s future.
