My name is Heather Tomlinson, and I am an S-LP with significant experience serving adults across the continuum of care, including acute care, long-term care, and outpatient community rehabilitation in urban settings. I have always relished the chance to give back to our community by volunteering in various capacities with SAC and ACSLPA and supervising clinical placements for the next generation of speech-language pathologists.

I am also a committed lifelong learner, and to that end, I embraced the opportunity to work in a rural setting for the past few years with a mixed caseload of pediatrics and adults during the COVID-19 pandemic. During that time, I continued my education by completing a master’s degree in leadership, where I gained relevant knowledge in systems thinking. My clinical interests include a passion for championing inclusive communicative access for the diverse people we serve. I am a strong advocate for our profession, our clients, and their families/caregivers.
