Director-Student

I am a first-year speech-language pathology student at McGill University. I am currently involved in research examining language and cognitive development in neurotypical and neurodivergent adolescents, with a focus on social communication. I am also exploring pathways linking ADHD and suicide-related outcomes. My previous research examined adolescent cannabis use, as well as speech and voice processing across languages. My clinical interests are broad and include acquired and neurological disorders, motor speech disorders, and orofacial conditions.

Prior to my graduate studies, I worked as a psychosocial worker in forensic psychiatry and addiction services, where I developed a strong understanding of how vulnerable individuals navigate healthcare systems and the importance of advocating for their needs.

Having grown up and worked in bilingual environments, I bring a valuable linguistic and cultural perspective to his research, clinical work and committee service. I am particularly interested in advocacy, equity, diversity and inclusion in service delivery, and strengthening engagement and communication with members, especially students.
