My name is Roxanne Bélanger, and I am a Professor and Director of the School of Speech-Language Pathology at Laurentian University. I have over 20 years of clinical and research experience in pediatric speech-language pathology, with a focus on language development, developmental language disorder, and early identification. My work is grounded in supporting children and families in minority-language contexts, particularly francophone communities in Northern Ontario.

My interests lie in strengthening clinical training, advancing evidence-based practice, and improving access to high-quality services in underserved and rural regions.

I bring to the SAC Board a strong understanding of academic and clinical training standards, a commitment to equity and access in service delivery, and experience navigating the complexities of healthcare education in diverse and minority-language contexts.
