Member Benefits
As a membership-driven organization, SAC strives to serve our members and associates.
Advocacy
SAC works hard to promote the important role S-LPs, audiologists and communication health assistants play in the Canadian healthcare and education systems. Each year, we produce various resources and tools to empower our members and associates to help spread the word about their professions. We have also embarked on numerous advertisement campaigns and regularly represent communication health issues on Parliament Hill.
Professional Development
SAC’s Professional Development Program provides quality professional development opportunities for audiologists, speech-language pathologists and communication health assistants. In addition to SAC Conferences and The SAC Audiology Event, we offer a number of in-person workshops and web-learning opportunities throughout the year. All online SAC PD is FREE for members and associates. We also publish the Canadian Journal of Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology (CJSLPA).

SAC members and associates have access to a comprehensive and cost-effective Professional Liability Insurance policy for as low as $57 per year through our partnership through BMS. This coverage can cost up to $700 a year for non-SAC members and associates!

Clinical Research Grants
SAC’s Clinical Research Grants aim to increase the clinical evidence base in the fields of speech-language pathology and audiology in Canada. Each year, SAC may award up to two grants of $5,000 each.
Awards & Recognition
The professions of speech-language pathology and audiology are constantly evolving and advancing, and this would not be possible without the tireless work of speech-language pathologists, audiologists, and communication health assistants.
SAC recognizes the immense contribution our members and associates make to their professions and communities, and wants to celebrate this dedication and determination.
Find a Professional Directory
The directory is available for potential clients to connect with S-LPs and audiologists in their area. Members in the Find a Professional Directory can now add the cities and provinces where they practice – a complimentary benefit included with membership.Â
