On December 13, 2012, SAC held a press conference on parliament hill and sent out a press release to media outlets across Canada to launch the brand new Auditory Processing Guidelines for Canada, created by the Canadian Interorganizational Steering Group for Audiology and Speech-Language Pathology (CISG).
Because APD is a complex disorder and we wanted to get our message out to as many people as possible, we chose to focus on one specific message related to APD: the case of children and the need to raise awareness to ensure that children with APD do not fall through the cracks.
The story was been picked up by media outlets across the country and we conducted several interviews for print, radio and television.
