Speech-Language & Audiology Canada (SAC) is pleased to announce that Emily Banzet, Manager of Communications & Marketing, was awarded the Donna Mary Shaw Award this fall at the 2018 Canadian Society of Association Executives (CSAE) Conference in Ottawa.

The award – named in honour of the late Donna Mary Shaw – recognizes emerging not-for-profit professionals and fosters association leadership by providing resources, education and mentorship.

“Emily has excelled in the not-for-profit environment,” says SAC Chief Executive Officer, Joanne Charlebois. “Her communication skills, teamwork, commitment to SAC and her desire to better serve our members and associates has made her a valuable member of our team.”

Since joining SAC in 2016, Emily has brought a great deal of initiative and passion to the communications department. In particular, her experience and expertise in political communication has strengthened SAC’s advocacy initiatives and her social media skills have enhanced SAC’s online presence.

From everyone at SAC – “Congratulations, Emily!”
