SAC members are invited to attend CLSA’s January webinar based on the quantitative analysis of early retirement among health professionals using CLSA data. This will be presented by Dr. Sarah Hewko, assistant professor in the Department of Applied Human Sciences at the University of Prince Edward Island.

Despite health professional shortages, we know little about voluntary and involuntary exits from the workforce among Canadian Registered Nurses (RNs) and allied health professionals (AHPs). This study identifies and compares factors influencing retirement decision-making, explores their importance and empirically tests the models of these decisions among RNs and AHPs.

Dr. Hewko will discuss results of this study and implications for RN/AHP workforce policy.

This webinar will take place on January 29 from 12:00-1:00 PM EST. Click here to register.
