Abstract
Living Successfully with Hearing Loss is a group audiologic rehabilitation program supporting adults with hearing loss and their communication partners. Learn more about the approach and delivery of the program and hear testimonials from students ranging from young adults through 94 years young. Program components will be described, with suggestions of how to implement the lessons in a clinic environment.
Learning Objectives:
1.Familiarize participants with the SAC position paper on audiologic rehabilitation.
2.Provide examples of activities that correspond with behavioural, technical and environmental AR interventions.
3.Present evidence of benefits reported by the targeted population
This webinar is eligible for SAC CEEs (Category A).
Presenter Biography
Lisa Dillon Edgett, PhD, Aud(C), RAUD
Lisa’s passion lies in teaching adults with hearing loss to communicate more effectively. She expanded the AR program offered through Vancouver Community College to include three levels, outreach options and online delivery. Her Ph.D. in Audiology, diploma in adult education, and eLearning certificate contribute to her program’s success.
