INVITATION AND CALL FOR PAPERS and POSTERS
The Multilingual Affairs Committee of the International Association of Logopedics and Phoniatrics and the Department of Speech-Language Hearing Sciences at Lehman College of the City University of New York are hosting a two-day symposium in New York City, USA and invites papers on:
Language and Literacy Challenges in Multilingual-Multicultural Children, Youth and Adult Populations with Communication Disorders
The primary goals of the symposium are: to explore scientific evidence that benefits researchers, educators, and clinicians in speech-language pathology (SLP) and audiology who provide services to culturally and linguistically diverse (CLD) children, youth and adults with communication disorders; and to provide evidence-based responses for families and caregivers regarding communication disorders in this population.
Researchers and practitioners in speech language pathology, audiology, psychology, education, and related fields are invited to submit abstracts for papers or posters which include: a title, a 250 word abstract that provides details of the presentation’s main focus, a 50-word bio, and three learning outcomes.
Closing date for submissions: April 30, 2015.
