Cochrane is a non-profit organization made up of thousands of volunteer researchers, health professionals, patients, carers, and people passionate about improving health outcomes for everyone, everywhere, in over 130 countries.
By producing and disseminating systematic reviews on the effectiveness of health-care interventions, Cochrane works to turn the research-generated evidence into useful information for making everyday decisions about health.
The Cochrane Library is published 12 times per year and houses a database of Cochrane reviews as well as databases of randomized controlled trials, health technology assessments and economic and methodological studies.
Cochrane Canada is the Canadian arm of the Cochrane Collaboration and is located at McMaster University in Hamilton, Ontario. Cochrane Canada is affiliated with 26 partner organizations, including Speech-Language and Audiology Canada (SAC).
A French Canadian version — Cochrane Canada Francophone — has also been launched by the Université Laval Faculty of Medicine in partnership with the CHU de Québec-Université Laval.
We hope you enjoy this valuable resource of evidence-based information.
