This initiative, with faculty support from Danielle Glista, PhD, aims to provide a series of lunch-and-learn sessions for primary care clinics across Ontario to highlight the importance of screening for and managing adult hearing loss in primary care settings. The talks will provide clinicians with practical tips on integrating hearing health into their practice, supporting accessible communication for patients who are hearing-impaired, and outlining important connections between hearing health and other aspects of an individual’s healthcare, including cognitive, mental, and physical well-being. These talks will also highlight the important role of audiologists in supporting patients with hearing loss, provide an overview of the profession’s services, and explain how primary care clinics can work with audiologists in their communities to enhance patient care.
