We utilise the Language Environment Analysis System (LENA) and qualitative interviews to examine Vietnam as an example of how language socialisation practices influence parent-child communication, enabling the development of more culturally appropriate intervention techniques. The findings highlight the importance of cultural considerations when adapting Western treatment methods for use in the developing world.
