Speech-language pathologists have been using telerehabilitation to deliver services since the 1980s. Recently, it has been embraced as a way of providing services while avoiding the spread of COVID-19. This session will explore telerehabilitation to support people with communication disorders related to stroke, other brain injuries and dementia.
Participants will:
- learn to support adults in therapy using a Life Participation Approach;
- discover what to consider when choosing a telerehabilitation platform; and
- review visual tools that can be used to support conversation.
