This 2-hour webinar will outline clinically focused applications of AI relevant to speech pathologists/students/researchers interested in Acquired Communication Disability. It will showcase a diverse range of practical examples of how AI text, image and video generation can be applied to language, speech, and cognitive-communication disability. Important cautions and policy considerations will be addressed and discussed with participants.
By the end of the webinar, participants will be able to:
- Define AI and GenAI.
- Describe key findings from relevant health and speech pathology literature.
- Describe use cases for various types of diverse AI tools (e.g., CHATGPT, DALLE-3, Heygen, Yoodli etc) to support preparation of assessment and treatment as well as direct opportunities for use with clients.
- Identify opportunities and cautions of AI more broadly and in working with clients with acquired communication disability.
