This webinar is designed for speech-language pathologists interested in learning about the framework and potential steps to consider when implementing the International Dysphagia Diet Standardisation Initiative (IDDSI). This webinar contains an overview of one Canadian hospital’s experiences with early adoption and implementation of the framework (to date), including a work plan and timeline, data collection, product inventory, menu mapping and anticipated next steps.
Learning Outcomes
Participants will be able to:
- understand the benefits of adopting internationally standardized dysphagia diet terminology and preparation methods;
- understand possible steps involved in implementing the framework; and
- utilize information provided to assist in implementing the framework at their own facilities.
