The majority of school-aged children with language impairment will struggle with written language. In this webinar, we will discuss evidence-based methods for supporting aspects of the writing process, including planning, drafting, editing and revising using an approach known as self-regulated strategy development. We will discuss specific resources and techniques that can be applied across different settings.
Learning Outcomes
Participants will be able to:
- describe the specific difficulties of helping children with language and learning impairments in achieving writing competence;
- identify empirically-based self-regulated strategies to support writing development in children with language and learning impairments; and
- onsider the application of writing intervention strategies for children with language and learning difficulties.
