Speech-language pathologists have the potential to be leaders in non-pharmacological approaches to support people with dementia. This presentation discusses evidence-based approaches to incorporating personhood into cognitive-communication treatment. It also highlights approaches to navigating the many organizational challenges involved in the implementation of dementia care across settings.
