Emily Banzet is the Manager of Communications and Marketing at Speech-Language & Audiology Canada (SAC). Prior to joining SAC, Emily worked for 10 years on Parliament Hill in various communication roles, including as a Media Relations Officer for the Office of the Prime Minister and as the Director of Communications for the Minister of State for Western Economic Diversification. Jennifer O’Donnell received her master of science in human communication disorders from Dalhousie University in 2005. Her thesis work has been published in the Journal of Fluency Disorders. Since graduation, she has worked as an S-LP, primarily with preschoolers, at the Chaleur Regional Hospital in Bathurst. She is a member of the Pediatric Developmental Team, serves as clinical coordinator of her department and managed the department from 2006 to 2018. She is a clinically-certified member of SAC, a past President of the New Brunswick Association of Speech-Language Pathologists and Audiologists, a former board director of the Canadian Alliance of Audiology and Speech-Language Pathology Regulators and a past Chair of SAC’s Board of Directors. She is also Co-Chair of the Canadian Entry-to-Practice Exam for S-LP and Audiology Implementation Advisory Group. Her professional interests include early intervention and interprofessional and transdisciplinary assessment and treatment.

Dr. Emily Zimmerman is an assistant professor of communication sciences and disorders at Northeastern University. She directs the Speech and Neurodevelopment Lab, which examines the cross-section of sucking, feeding and speech emergence across environmental, maternal, physiological and genetic factors.
