Debate: “Be it Resolved That the Practice of Audiology Meets the Needs of People Who Have Hearing Problems”
The language used in the descriptions reflects the language of the sessions.
Audiologists can have many roles in hearing health care, including: diagnostician, rehabilitation expert, treatment manager, technology prescriber and/or dispenser, inter-professional team member, listener, counsellor, advocate for social change, business owner, educator and academic or industry researcher. In these roles, the practice of audiology should meet the needs of people across the lifespan who have hearing-related problems in their everyday lives.
In true debate format, opposing arguments will be presented by hearing health experts whose perspectives span public and private hearing health care settings, policy and research. They will debate if the practice of audiology meets the needs of people who have hearing problems.
