School District No. 42 (SD42) meets the learning needs of approximately 16,000 students of all ages in Maple Ridge and Pitt Meadows and is defined by its determination to keep student learning and growth at the heart of all its decisions. With an annual budget of over $200M and over 2,000 staff, the school district provides K-12 educational services in 22 elementary schools, six secondary schools, and two alternate schools. It also provides a variety of certificate programs and relevant quality life-long learning opportunities through Ridge Meadows College and Continuing Education.
SD42 is accepting applications for a 1.0 FTE Continuing position as a qualified Speech-Language Pathologist effective September 1, 2023. As part of our Learning Services Team, the Speech-Language Pathologist will have experience working within the elementary and secondary school context and the ability to work collaboratively with school-based teams and families. The Speech-Language Pathologist will have knowledge and experience working with students with autism spectrum disorders and students who require augmentative communication systems and will have outstanding communication, collaboration and interpersonal skills and the ability to be flexible and creative.
The applicant will possess:
- A Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Membership in the College of Speech and Hearing Health Professionals (CSHBC)
