Salary: $36.69/hr – $46.16/hr
The Position
Manitoba Possible is proud to offer an exciting opportunity to be part of Jordan’s Principle Jordan’s Principle is a child-first principle that ensures all First Nations children have access to health and social services in their community.
The successful applicants will provide pediatric Speech-Language Pathology services to First Nations children in their home communities. These services will be consultative, family-centered and provided to families, child development workers and respite workers in community settings such as Jordan’s Principle Programs, nursery programs and homes. S-LPs will work on a team with Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists and Professionals from other agencies to ensure that all children have the opportunity to reach their full potential.
The positions are based out of the world-class SSCY Centre in Winnipeg with travel to a variety of Manitoba First Nations communities. You will travel with a team to communities with arrangements made on your behalf. Therapists will have some flexibility with the schedule during a typical work week.
Any hours including travel to and from communities above the 53rd parallel are paid a Northern Premium of 10% above the regular wage. Expenses are covered for all travel and overnight costs; If spending an overnight in a community with limited amenities, you will also receive an additional $125 per diem.
