This posting is to fill a permanent, full-time position, working 75 hours bi-weekly.
This position involves providing a full range of speech and language services to children with a broad range of disabilities. As a Speech and Language Pathologist, you will work as part of a multi-disciplinary team in the Disabilities Services Program within the Social Supports Branch. SLP services include assessment and consultation or direct therapy to address children’s language and communication needs in the home and community.

Essential Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
- Experience providing speech and language therapy assessment and treatment to children with a broad range of disabilities.
- Experience teaching social communication and formulating group therapy plans.
Desired Knowledge, Skills and Suitability
Candidates should have and may be assessed on:
- Strong assessment skills
- Experience working in a multicultural environment with an emphasis on Yukon First Nations culture
- Excellent interpersonal, conflict management and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with a multi-disciplinary team
- Strong organizational and time management skills to manage a diverse caseload
Conditions of Employment:
- TB Screening,
- CPR Level C (obtained within the past 18 months),
- Vulnerable Sector RCMP Security Clearance,
- Valid Class 5 Driver’s Licence,
- Current registration with a Canadian Speech Language Pathology regulatory body, and
- WHMIS 2015.
For all new grads: you are required to be fully licensed with a professional regulatory body within six months of start date.
Job Requirements:
This position may require travel within Whitehorse and to Yukon communities for the delivery of SLP services.
