Job Summary

Under the direction of the Audiology Program Lead, the position provides clinical auditory services to infants, children and youth using standard diagnostic and treatment procedures; and provides consultative and educational services to professionals and the community.

 


Top 4 Key Responsibilities

  • Examining auditory pathways to determine hearing function and location of pathology using instruments and electro acoustic equipment such as, otoscope, audiometers, impedance bridge and otoacoustic emissions.
  • Measuring, calculating, specifying and ascertaining hearing and middle ear function.
  • Determining the nature and degree of different hearing disorders.
  • Improving hearing loss through properly selecting hearing aids and/or rehabilitation programs.



Job Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Audiology from a recognized university program.
  • Licensed to practice by the College of Speech and Hearing Health Professionals of B.C.
  • Or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
  • Current valid Class 5 B.C. Driver’s License and access to personal vehicle for business related purposes.
