The Manager of Government Relations and Advocacy is responsible for Strategic Public Affairs and Government Relations. The Manager of GR and Advocacy supports the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) in ensuring that speech-language pathologists, audiologists, and communication health assistants are well-represented in the public policy arena and makes recommendations to address and advance SAC’s government relations profile. They advise the CEO, senior management, and the Board of Directors on parliamentary, legislative, and public policy priorities of relevance to SAC as a means to raise the profile of the professions and represent the Association, internally and externally, at provincial, national or international levels on public policy issues.
