Accessible Participation: How Can Audiologists Expand Rehab into the Community?

The language used in the descriptions reflects the language of the sessions.

Social and technological developments are driving change in many areas of life and the profession of audiology is no exception. This session will provide a review from experts on three areas of related concern: an update on accessibility legislation from the Canadian Hard of Hearing Association, clinically applicable workplace hearing accessibility programs and opportunities for making hearing-friendly communities for an aging population. Following these presentations, attendees will gather in small groups for structured brainstorming discussions. The goal will be to produce suggestions and commentary on how our profession might best respond to the role of an audiologist in a changing world.
