Join a SAC Standing Committee

SAC is searching for enthusiastic volunteers to join one of our standing committees. Joining a committee will give you the opportunity to work collaboratively with colleagues and to support your national professional association.

Nomination Committee

The SAC Nomination committee helps ensure that the Board leadership of SAC is strong and representative of the community we serve. We make important decisions about governance including supporting equity, diversity, and inclusion on our board and committees, as well as making sure that we have fair and equitable processes for recruiting new volunteers. Please help us continue our work by joining the nominations committee.

Scholarship Committee

Did you know that the SAC Scholarship Committee gives out over $36,000 annually in scholarships to support young clinicians in their Master’s Programs? This committee makes a difference in the lives of our young clinicians by making decisions that help provide them with funding. In turn, these clinicians also strive to make a difference early on in their careers and inspire us – help support the future of our professions by joining one of our most rewarding committees – the scholarship committee

Clinical Research Grants Committee

Did you know that SAC awards over $10,000 each year in clinical research grants? Over the past 10 years alone this amounts to $100,000. Research supports all clinicians in your work and helps you be informed and up to date in the best available evidence-based practice. To help ensure excellence in our granting process, and to encourage and expand grant applications we welcome your involvement in this vital committee. If you like to support research and would welcome a supporting role in granting clinicians funding, please join our committee.

Awards Committee

The awards committee is integral to supporting and promoting excellence in our professions by recognizing the contributions of the SAC community. If you are passionate about the work of communication professionals and interested in sharing your ideas for how SAC can better recognize members for their valuable contributions to the communications professions and more broadly, join the Awards Committee.
