On March 31, 2009, SAC submitted a brief to the National Strategy for Early Literacy Initiative (NSEL) to highlight the important role our professions play in literacy development.

The NSEL is an initiative to improve the literacy skills of Canadian children and youth and engaged a broad coalition of organizations and individuals to understand and describe what can be done to improve literacy outcomes for young Canadians, and to put these actions into practice.

Please note that this brief was created when SAC was called the Canadian Association of Speech-Language Pathologists and Audiologists (CASLPA).
