SPEECH-LANGUAGE PATHOLOGISTS (2)
(Contract: September, 2017 – October, 2018)
THRIVE Child Development Centre/Centre de développement de l’enfant requires two passionate Speech-Language Pathologists to join our team for a year on a full-time basis. One position has potential for extension beyond one year. As one of twenty-one children’s treatment centres across Ontario, THRIVE is a well-established organization supporting over 1100 children & youth from 0-19 years of age across the District of Algoma. These children and youth are impacted by differences in physical, perceptual, communication and/or developmental trajectories. THRIVE employs 50 staff made up of occupational therapists, physiotherapists, speech-language pathologists, social workers, therapy assistants, early childhood educators, program and support staff. We have a firm commitment to a family-centred approach to service delivery that enables staff to assist children, youth and families with the identification of personal strengths, skill building and empowerment. As the preferred candidate, you have a Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology and are a member in good standing with the College of Audiologists and Speech-Language Pathologists of Ontario. You have a valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle. Travel to support children, youth and families across the District of Algoma is required. Your ability to deliver services in English and French is an asset.
Salary is competitive with market standards and contribution to a leading industry pension plan is available. Eligibility for a moving allowance will be considered.
